Megan Caldwell

Megan is one of our talented Cushion Sewing Associates at Century Chair Plant 3! This August, Megan will be celebrating 4 years with Century. Her journey into furniture began with an interest in sewing, leading her to join the CVCC Furniture Academy, where she developed the sewing skills to become the valuable team member she is today. Megan appreciates Century for its family environment, the trust she feels from the company, and the kindness of all the people she works with. Her advice for those starting their careers is to "look for a company with great values, morals, and opportunities like Century." Megan's motivation comes from her family, and her greatest accomplishment is simply being where she is in life.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her four dogs, cat, and horse. She also enjoys dancing and attending rodeos. Thank you, Megan, for your hard work and dedication! We are grateful to have you as part of the Century family. Century is proud to support continuing education and career advancement goals by utilizing the Catawba Valley Furniture Academy. Jordan Wilkerson

Jordan has been with Century Furniture for 5 years and is part of our IT Department. He started as a Level 3 Help Desk Analyst and then advanced to a Lead after just 2 years. Jordan recently accepted a promotion to Tech Support Manager. Jordan’s day-to-day consists of him checking that everyone has what they need to perform their job as well as confirming his team has what they need.

Jordan's greatest accomplishment is growing up and being able to give back to the community. He stated, “where I grew up, you have to work hard to become successful”. For anyone just starting in the IT field Jordan wants to let them know “No matter what is going on in your life never be scared to take a leap of faith- that is what got me here". What motivates Jordan the most is making his family proud. In his free time, he and his wife of 5 years (who also works at Century) like to travel and are big foodies. Jordan is also a mentor for the Catawba Valley Leadership Foundation. Jordan’s thoughts on the mentorship:

“I'm a part of this mentorship program today because children need someone in their corners that understands the challenges they face while growing into adulthood. The world outside of H.S. (high school) can be scary trying to figure out which way life should go and if I can help someone find a sense of purpose then that makes me happy; and that I am truly living my purpose to help others. Also with the things I will/have learned while being a mentor in the Catawba county area. I would love to start a similar program and give back to the community where I am from”.

Jordan (along with several other supervisors at Century) is currently enrolled in the CVCC Supervisory Certification Program. This 7-month program provides new or experienced supervisors with the tools and skills necessary for building personal confidence in their leadership role in the workplace. Century is proud to support continuing education and career advancement goals by utilizing local resources like Catawba Valley Community College.

Wanda Triplett

Wanda is a dedicated member of our Century Upholstery family (Plant 2). Wanda has been with us for an incredible 19 years, working as one of our skilled Flatwork Sewing Associates. With 27 years of sewing experience, she is a master of all types of stitching and truly loves her craft.

What Wanda appreciates most about Century is the family atmosphere and the supportive culture that makes it feel like home. Wanda’s story is especially inspiring—she is a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed when she visited the mammogram bus that visits Century once a year. Wanda emphasized the importance of sharing this message with all Century associates: please utilize all of the screenings Century provides- it could save your life. She shared that throughout her journey, her Plant 2 family was there for her, offering endless encouragement and support.

Wanda’s advice for anyone beginning their career at Century is to "take pride in your work; it reflects who you are." She is motivated by spreading joy to others and making people smile. In her free time, Wanda enjoys reading, swimming, and spending quality time with her family and her husband of 31 years.

Thank you, Wanda, for your strength, positivity, and dedication! We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the Century family.
