This marble-topped metal coffee table shares its silhouette with Thomas' Visual Comfort lighting family of the same name. The antiqued iron base has scrolling feet, picked out in warm antiqued brass, are taken from the handles on a set of Machine Age 1940s forged fireplace tools. For the tabletop, Thomas was inspired by the inlaid alabaster top of a George II carved gilt wood pier table, dating to 1740. This inlay is set in modern, pale grey marble, with taupe and charcoal grey in the pattern.
